The Life of Padre Pio of Pietrelcina

  • “Every lie is the daughter of the devil,”

  • A good heart is a strong heart,

  • The devil has only one door by which to enter our soul - our will. When the will had no part in it, there was no sin, only human weakness.”

Note: Padre Pio was known as the “living Crucifix” as he bore the 5 wounds of Christ (1918) that never healed. The wounds were known as the “stigmata” and were in the palms of his hands and to his side. The wounds oozed with blood for 50 years until the Padre passed away in 1968.

Taken from the fine book by Dr. Pascal P. Parente titled A City on a Mountain.
